I love Old School. I love the classics. If you’ve been reading the last few posts, you’ve probably noticed how much I’ve been fawning over vintage stuff. They just have so much character so much history. (And so much dust, hubby would say…)
So anyway, I saw this post on The Ritzy Bee Blog and was absolutely charmed by this vintage typewriter. I love typewriter fonts. Do you remember a previous post on this library-themed wedding–and their charming invitations? Well, this time, The Ritzy Bee made use of the actual machine and incorporated it into the decor. So cute. And check out these place cards with the typewriter keys:

Another cool and classic concept I saw was on Little White Book, with these shots by Katie Stoops. Don’t you love the vintage Coke bottle?

What else can be more classic than school? Check out these inspiration boards from Lucky Me. There are three of them boards, but this one is my favorite. Don’t you love the brown paper bag and the cool sneaks? I so see this theme for a wedding timed just before it’s “back to school,” don’t you?

But sometimes, I do relish the idea of a spin on a classic. Check out this super whimsical idea from Elizabeth Anne Designs. They’re basically colored wedding veils–something you probably saw on the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic, which is where the creative bride got the idea (plus a spread on Vogue). The result? Colored bird-cage veils for her bridesmaids.
Gwen Stefani wed in a blush-toned (gradient) wedding gown, why shouldn’t we have color on our veils, too? Isn’t this something Carrie Bradshaw would sooo wear?
